Facing Dementia Together Event
Facing Dementia Together Event - Thursday 16th April at 3pm in Alderbrook Care Home
When someone you love is living with dementia, it can feel like you're navigating unfamiliar ground — with many questions and few clear answers. At Alderbrook Care Home, we understand the emotional and practical challenges families face, which is why we invite you to join us for our Facing Dementia Together event on Thursday 16th April at 3pm.
This supportive and informative session is designed especially for family members, friends and caregivers who want to better understand dementia and how to support a loved one living with the condition. Whether you're new to the journey or have been caring for someone for some time, you’ll find practical advice, guidance and connection here.
Led by our experienced team, the session will cover:
How dementia affects the brain and behaviour
Strategies to communicate more effectively and compassionately
Tips for managing changes in routine and daily living
Ways to look after your own wellbeing as a carer
You’ll also have the chance to ask questions, share your own experiences if you wish, and meet others who are also looking after a loved one. We know that facing dementia can be overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be faced alone.
The event will be held in the calm and welcoming surroundings of Alderbrook Care Home, with refreshments provided and plenty of time to chat afterwards. Everyone is welcome, whether you have a loved one living at Alderbrook or you’re supporting someone at home or in another care setting. We’re here to help.
To reserve your place, please get in touch with our team today, we’d be delighted to welcome you.
