In the words of Andy Williams, “it’s the most wonderful time of the year” and it truly is. Our 1st Christmas here at Alderbrook has been a really special time. Our team, although still fairly new are already like a big family and the spirit of the festive season really demonstrated what a caring, environment we are creating here, committed to attention to detail, and always going above and beyond for everyone who calls Alderbrook home.
The season started early December with an array of beautiful decorations and Christmas trees dressing the home adding touch of magic at every corner with twinkling lights donning the trees and festive fireplaces creating a warm, cosy festive atmosphere.
The team enjoyed our first Secret Santa, and we enjoyed a festive raffle…congratulations to our lovely receptionist Anisha for guessing the correct number of sweets in the jar.
Christmas Day was lovely as staff joined residents to enjoy the celebrations, quiz games at the dinner table followed a delicious Christmas dinner cooked up by our chef and kitchen team. After dinner we relaxed and enjoyed ‘The King’s Speech’ and the ‘Strictly Come Dancing Christmas’ special.
Food was plentiful all day with a luxurious chocolate yule log, fresh mince pics and plenty of refreshments!
